10 Hockey Romance Books to Read After You Finish Off-Campus
You finished Off-Campus. You've reread the good chapters (you know the ones). You may or may not own a hat about it. And now you're staring at your shelf wondering what could possibly follow Garrett Graham and Dean Di Laurentis.
We've been there. Here's where to go next.
1. The Deal — Elle Kennedy
If somehow you haven't started here: this is the book that launched a thousand jersey-buying habits. Fake tutoring arrangement, real feelings, Garrett Graham at his most insufferable and irresistible. The rest of the series (The Mistake, The Score, The Goal) gives every Briar boy his turn — including Dean, whose book remains a personality test.
2. Icebreaker — Hannah Grace
Figure skater meets hockey captain when their teams are forced to share a rink. Anastasia and Nate are the comfort-read pairing of the decade — golden retriever energy, found family, and a campus setting that scratches the Briar itch.
3. Heated Rivalry — Rachel Reid
Two NHL rivals. Years of secret hotel rooms. The slowest of slow burns between two men who can't stand each other, except for how they absolutely can. Widely considered one of the best hockey romances ever written — come for the rivalry, stay for the yearning.
4. Him — Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
Childhood best friends to estranged to teammates to something much more. Co-written by two heavyweights of the genre, and it shows — the banter is fast, the angst is earned, and the hockey actually matters to the plot.
5. Behind the Net — Stephanie Archer
Grumpy NHL goalie, sunshine physiotherapist, one shared apartment. Quiet, protective hero who keeps doing devastatingly thoughtful things without being asked. For readers who like their hockey boys soft-spoken and completely gone for her.
6. Consider Me — Becka Mack
Carter Beckett is cocky in a way that should be annoying and somehow isn't. The first in the Playing for Keeps series — possessive without being toxic, filthy without losing the plot, and very, very Canadian.
7. Pucking Around — Emily Rath
A 'why choose' hockey romance with a heroine doing a sports medicine fellowship and an entire roster of reasons to stay. Long, indulgent, and completely unashamed of what it is. Clear your weekend.
8. Mile High — Liz Tomforde
Grumpy hockey player meets sunshine flight attendant on his team's plane. Forced proximity at 30,000 feet, and the start of the Windy City series — which only gets stronger as it goes.
9. Us — Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
The sequel to Him, because one book of Wes and Jamie is not enough. Established relationship done right — real obstacles, no manufactured third-act breakup, double the hockey.
10. From Lukov with Love — Mariana Zapata
Technically figure skating, but it earns its place: the queen of slow burn delivers years of rink-side rivalry turned partnership. If the ice is the point, this belongs on your list.
Wear the evidence
If half this list is already annotated on your shelf, you're our kind of reader. The Hot Girls Ask Garrett cap and matching tote say it without saying it — and if you've always been more of a Dean girl, we made one for you too.
